Faculty and staff pay homage to educator who lost her battle to breast cancer

Faculty and staff in the Menands Union Free School District honored the memory of a Kindergarten teacher who fell victim to breast cancer earlier this year. Live burn and presentations ignite a passion for fire safety

Menands students heated up their fire safety knowledge during an Oct. 9 visit to the school by the Menands Fire Co. #1. Flapjack fundraiser a success for Menands PTA

More than 100 breakfasts were served Sept. 28 at the Menands PTA’s pancake breakfast fundraiser. The event in the school cafeteria was staffed by 10 volunteers who served more than 100 meals of pancakes, sausage, fruit and eggs. Funds raised during the event will be used to pay for PTA activities at the Menands school. …
