Building Project- Scott Wolfe and Dan attended the meeting to give an update on the capital project and answer any questions.

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the authorization of the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve the enclosed budget transfers for August 2020.

2019-2020 Audit
Upon recommendation of the Audit Committee that the Board of Education may accept the 2019-2020 district external audit as completed by West & Company. West & Company is present to address the Board if needed.
Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District accept the 2019-2020 district external audit as completed by West & Company.

2020-2021 Tax Warrant
Enclosed is the resolution for the tax warrant and assessed valuations and calculations to be approved and signed by the Board of Education.
Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approves the resolution for the 2020-2021 tax warrant in the amount of $6,981,247.21: Add 139,089.13 Menands Library; Add 9,152.56 proata exemption payback; Add 11,947.20 additional Star savings; the net amount to be collected on this warrant shall be 7,141,436.10. Taxes funded by Star Exemption 233,747.24. This warrant is effective after it is properly signed by a majority of the Board of Education.

Resolution BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the Menands Union Free School District approve Rachel Haas as a Building Substitute Teacher effective 9/1/20 through 6/30/21 as per the negotiated Benefits Agreement.

11. SUPERINTENDENT’S COMMENTS
Board of Education Retreat / Goals- Dr. Long said that with the capital project coming to a close the timing is appropriate to schedule a retreat and take a look at the districts goals of where we are at and where we would like to be when we look ahead.
Paying it forward: Sage- Dr. Long was honored when asked to take part in the Sage program. As a graduate from Sage she is excited to take this opportunity to grow.
12. PRINCIPAL’S COMMENTS
Opening Days with staff- Mrs. Cannavo said that she was excited to have the extra time to work with the staff to prepare for the first day of school. She wanted to thank everyone for working hard to be ready for opening day.
Opening day with students- Mrs. Cannavo was excited to welcome back the student both in person and online. The first day was a success and it was nice to see all of the happy faces.
13. MISCELLANEOUS
Mr. Masline on behalf of the BOE welcomed everyone back and thanked everyone for all of hard work and effort that was put in to get ready for the new year.
Mr. Nevins also thanked everyone as well as Mrs. Wilson. The kids were glad to be back in the building. A reminder was given to fill out your Census.
Mrs. Jaskula said that the Elementary students had a good day as well.
