Low Community Transmission
Protocols when transmission is low include:
- Vaccines
– Strongly encouraged
– District will assist families in accessing - COVID-19 testing:
– District will make test kits available to all families
– Required prior to return if symptomatic - Face masks:
– Optional; the exception being upon return from a positive case must be worn days 6-10
– Masks will be made available as needed to students and staff
– Discouraging of mask wearing will not be tolerated
– Choices will be respected - Monitoring transmission:
– Ongoing & Based on cases within the school community - Physical distancing:
– While allowing for dynamic and authentic learning environments, to the extent practicable the District will take the opportunity to maximize distancing - School visitors:
– At the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools to allow for maximizing instructional opportunities and community engagement, to the extent practicable
– Visitors may be limited in number and based on time of day and purpose of visit
– No regular/ongoing use of the building by outside groups, one time and special events will be considered - Hand washing, hand sanitizer use and respiratory etiquette:
– Expected and encouraged - Contact tracing and quarantining:
– Pursuant to applicable DOH regulations - Staying home when sick and returning to school/work (staff and students) – Please find guidance here:
– Students & staff should stay at home with any sign of infectious illness
– Pursuant to applicable DOH regulations - Cleaning and Disinfection:
– Daily cleaning and disinfection. - Cafeteria and eating:
– Distancing not required - Recess and physical education:

– Restrictions may be imposed, and visitation could be further limited or curtailed
– No use of the building by outside groups - Hand washing, hand sanitizer use and respiratory etiquette:
