CASDA Friends of Education Award Recipient

Mrs. Waldron, one of the teachers here at Menands School was honored with the Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA) Friends of Education Award on Thursday, February 15th at the Friends Of Education Dinner.  CASDA presents this award to recognize the selfless contributions of individuals who dedicate themselves to serving the students and the school community.

In smaller school districts such as Menands, educators are often called upon to make a variety of contributions that go far beyond what is outlined in their job description.  Mrs. Waldron has embraced this charge for 21 years as both a special education teacher and a tireless champion for students.  She serves as a dedicated member of the Arts & Education Committee, working to organize events such as the Annual Author Visit and Literacy Night.  She has coached soccer and contributed to Drama Club productions.  Mrs. Waldron has demonstrated a deep committment to both students and her colleagues with a generosity that embodies the spirit of a Friend of Education.  Congratulations on this well deserved recognotion.
