Through the new Everbridge notification system (please note this is a change from the Code Red notifiation system that we previously used), the school can send emergency messages to your home phone, cell phone, computer, smart phone and iPad. All parents and guardians are urged to sign up for Everbridge, as this will make it much easier to communicate with you about emergencies and/or important notifications. A Vision for Menands School: Menands Legacy Planning Web Page
The Board of Education in collaboration with representatives from the entire Menands School Community continues their work of developing a vision of our school for the future. This vision will guide decisions relative to our building and facilities and a potential building improvement project. Any project or improvements should be rooted in that vision - what we want for the children of our community, and not simply about bricks and mortar. With the expertise, and under the guidance of Robert Hendriks, of Educational Legacy Planning, faculty, staff and members of the greater Menands community have been involved in the conversation. This work has been captured on our own Menands Legacy Plan web site which can be accessed at the following link:
The vision will be finalized in the coming weeks, and the work to achieve it will continue. Please continue to check the web site for updates and information.
Working papers can now be found online. Please go to the "Quick Links" section of the website and click on "forms".
